sustainable farming – Kamasondo Village

Sustainable agriculture is farming in sustainable ways, it provides a potential solution to enable agricultural systems to feed a growing population within the changing environmental conditions.

In Africa sustainable agriculture could be a tool in reaching global food security without expanding land usage and reducing environmental impacts, it is the ability to permanently and continuously feed its communities. There are opportunities that can increase farmers’ profits, improve communities, and continue sustainable practices.

Environmental Farmland scheme to incentivise sustainable farming practices, which will create habitats for nature recovery and establish new woodland to help tackle climate change. Sustainable farming incentive, which also supports approaches to farm husbandry that deliver for the environment, such as actions to improve soil health, hedgerows and integrated pest management.
